I'm a native of northeast Iowa. I started playing drums in the school band at age 11, and learned a of various styles.  I was a drummer in the school band until I graduated.    It was about the same time my parents got into the music business.   Ending up in the band with my folks, I played many gigs all over northeast Iowa, southeast Minnesota, and a few places in Wisconsin.  Mostly old and new country music, old time music, and some 50's rock.
While in the Army, I served for a few months in a military band, playing for parades and ceremonies. .
I got back into the music scene in Des Moines about 1998, attending jams, and finally getting into the scene professionally.
